Rosberg Mercedes Reportedly Fined Due to Incident with Hamilton in Spa
London – Nico Rosberg reportedly received fines ranging from “six-figure” of his team, Mercedes, following an incident with Lewis Hamilton, who is his own teammate, in the last Belgian GP.
In jockeying for position on the track Spa, the front of the car nudged the rear of the car Rosberg Hamilton. As a result of the incident Hamilton failed to finish the race while Rosberg, top standings, finished second.
After the incident so byword among connoisseurs ‘Jet Land’ is Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe, two Mercedes boss, already face to face with Rosberg and Hamilton to clear up the situation.
After the meeting Mercedes stated, “Nico acknowledges its responsibility for the scratching that occurs on the second lap and the Belgian GP apologize for the errors of judgment. Necessary disciplinary action has been taken for the incident.”
Brackley based team is not explained what kind of action has been taken against Rosberg. However, citing Planet F1 Rosberg getting Sportsmail states that “a penalty of six digits” in which the fine money will be given to the charity.
Meanwhile, Max Mosley, former FIA president commented on the incident between Rosberg joined with Hamilton. According to Mercedes mistakenly had too much indulgence in its internal affairs by providing comments and announcements about the actions they take, especially against Rosberg.
“If they decide to impose a fine or punish Rosberg, they should not have to announce it. Teams like blaming it instead so publicly. Was not quite right,” he said.
Mosley rate, what happens outside of the track is a team affair, which of course is a lot going on behind the garage door. “The strange thing was announced. Personally I would not do that,” said Mosley.
